I don't know, but I read today there is $200,000 discount for each player who has been in the top 30 squad for 8 years at the club or 10 years across multiple clubs & for players developed in a club's junior system

It meant diddly squat when we had a squad of Snake, Gifty, Choc, King etc and I think back then it was $100k total.

That’s why they ALWAYS have heaps of cap space.

Easy when you pay every player $200k from the cap and the rest on outside deals.

The way we've been playing I'm sure we must have at least half the cap left, as some of the players displays recently are no better than reserve grade standard.

If we let go all the people who finish their contracts this year I reckon it frees (from the 8 players) around $2.7 mil. I would keep Saddler at $200K a year. Question really is who's there to buy in those positions, that means we look towards a centre, a winger, a spare fullback given we are not giving Harper a go? another second rower or 2?

I reckon we need a centre, a winger, a backrower and a couple depth rotation props. Morgan backup fullback

• chuck a huge contract at capewell or martin (they are too good to share game time). if not sign Magoulias & Talakai for 2row position. Or Luke Garner although he's looked average for Tigs lately.
• sign brown. let go of siro, gosiewski, boyle, sipley.
• sign a winger. just anyone decent. Wouldn't mind chucking something at Farnworth or Phillip Sami (2022 off contract) and see if they'd come. I feel like Coates will get offered huge overs at broncos so could be a tough get. if not just cross fingers Koula is a gun and ready
