You made the challenge 🙂 i just owned it,even Anasta can be a better player,but Hindy is a better bloke than most of them

Hindmarsh was forced to do most of the defensive work because the rest of the slime wouldn't do the hard yakka, but that has come at a cost.

When he was at his best he was equally great in attack and defence but in recent years has been overlooked for rep duties because he has nothing in attack after all the work he does in defence.

For every player that can turn a game with a piece of brilliance, you need a Hindmarsh who just digs in and does all the dirty work to keep your team in the battle.

I actually think he's starting to slow down a little bit this year.  I've seen a few times when he was at marker and get left for dead trying to tackle the dummy half if he takes off.  That used to be a bread a butter play for him and he'd make 2, 3, 4 tackles in a row by doing that.

Champion player although I think the leading one on one tackling stat is more important than overall tackles.

Decent player but nothing overly special. There are quite a lot of back rowers that leave him in the dust. Being a media darling doesn't make him a good player, nor does Gould's constant fawning over him.

Gift, Choc, Parker, Harrison, Gallen, Young, Johnson & Blair are a few names off the top of my head.

A lot of younger guys coming through like Gillett & Fensom who I would have in a team over Hindmarsh as well given their potential.

Sure Hindmarsh was in the top tier of backrowers before but the bloke is past it now. His work ethic is great but he'll continue to slow down as he has been over the past few seasons. His body won't continue to hold up when he's making 30+ tackles a game & he is fairly impotent in attack now. Give him another 2-3 years in the league & you can stick a fork in him.
