Fantastic effort.
One part of the highly under rated Sedin Twins, Henrik scored his 1000th career point last night in the 2-1 win against the Florida panthers.
Players get a point for either a goal or an assist and Henrik brought up his 1000th against Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo. The one time Canucks goalie and good friend of Henrik.
Henrik is the first canucks player to achieve this massive goal as a one club player.
In his first 12 years of playing in the NHL, Henrik missed just.....10 games! Think about that, a forward playing a minimum of 82 games a year plus finals (though not lately..lol...wah.)
I guess one or two years had strike action, none the less Henrik held the nhl's 'ironman' streak of consectutive games until the Vancouver Canucks hired their worst ever coach in John Tortorella whose coaching strategy was to rarely turn up to training and get the sedins to throw themselves in front of pucks.
Henrik's twin brother Daniel is approximately 40 points behind.
Well done Henrik, a very...very...good achievement.
