When I was a kid and collected them I thought is was Tom Mooney for some reason. But it looks like a forward Gary Thorogood?? or Lindsay Drake.

No,his hair was much longerand lighter.

Could be Alan Thompson,the best 5/8 till Cliffy.
Gary never had a mo, but the picture could just be casting a shadow-so it could be him as he and AT were hard to tell apart on the field.

Looks like he has a mo,so it could be John Gray.

A few of years ago a guy here at work dropped three of these cards on my desk. Just found them in my top drawer! I'm not a collector and the cards were of John Dorahy, Simon Booth, and Ross Windshuttle.

Not sure who it is on this card but it does look a little like John Harvey to me. Of the suggestions I've heard so far I really don't see the resemblance to Alan Thompson.

Could be actually him in the 77 card.

I have that card. It is John Harvey. He looks a bit leaner with longer hair than he normally had.

Shoe could be right ... but I agree it does not look at all like Harvey. The build, face & hair all look wrong. Of course, it might be my memory playing tricks on me?

I reckon it looks more like Goldie Walker.

Just had a look at The Eagle Has Landed, page 122 has a pic of the 1976 team, remembering they used the previous years photos for the cards.

I reckon its Mark Willoughby.

BTW Not Bruce Walker he was still as the Bears.

I use to see Brian Wilson from the 76 team but havent seen him for years, he could confirm it.

Anyone have contact with Ian Gately, I have got some stuff of him over the years, but havent got anything for at least 2 years maybe longer.

we used to flick them against the wall at school. i collected plenty of cards winning cards. had the full set too. The wests magpie emblem was very rare.

You are talking to someone who has every set from 1968 to 1986, except for a few 1970 cards I am chasing. Plus just about every Manly card from 2000 onwards.

Looking closely at the card tonight, I could be wrong. The player is quite lean. Could be a typo on the card.
