As for Des leaving...not going to happen. Des will be another Bennett. He'll stay at the club for as long as we want him, then he'll move somewhere else in his final years to try his hand somewhere and move the Manly club forward.

A permanant Blues coach is a good thing.  My only concern with Ricky is that he has already picked most of his side.  Gallen will be captain and Greg Bird is a certainty, probably at no 6 knowing Ricky Stupid.

I dont think Des would leave unless pushed, 12 months ago he was rated the 2nd safest in the NRL to keep his job but now he has slipped into the 50/50 mark.

I don't see Des as a career coach and his passion is here at Manly so I just can't see him headed off.

And I can't see us being in the market for Bennet. We are a club who has success not one that has been on the brink and had nothing for 30 years.
