Harold Matts Semi Final

I played in the Harold Matthews Cup years ago when it was a knockout. Schools used to participate and we actually won it in 1980...true story Central Coast (formerly Group 12).

Long memory Bradza! I can't think of anything like this happened in the late 1980s & early 1990s when Hoppa, Beaver, Gartner, Kosef, Ryan, Danny Moore all came through.

Ah Kosef, Gartner and Menzies. What a back row that was. Regrettably Kosef never hit the heights he deserved because of injury. His running style reminded me of a young Mal Reilly. If we get a collection like that from this young team, for firsts in three or four years, we should be contesting the premiership big time. I think Albert Hoppa (if he stays) and the third Trbojevic already have their positions locked in in firsts, it seems from all the talk.
