Some great moments there.
Loved seeing T-Rex run over Slater with total ease on the way to a convincing 4 tries to 1 victory. We finished 8th that year but beat the Storm in both encounters that season. Earlier in the season before the Brookie match, we raced out to a quick 16-0 lead in Melbourne before very dodgy refereeing brought them back into the game and we ended up having to settle for a 2 point victory. After the game, the Storm's salary cap rorting got exposed. There was no let up the following season either as a fired up Darcy Lussick got the better of the Storm and we ended up with another comfortable victory at home.
That Broncos game is arguably my favourite victory against them as well. I attended the 2011 GF qualifier and also the 2015 smashing at Gosford. They are very fond memories but that 2011 match in Brisbane pips both due to how brilliant we were in attack that night. Beats me how Brisbane ended up with 10 points cause they only scored 1 try whilst we scored 6 scintillating ones.
And Matai. He was a demigod in defence. Murdered forwards all the time.
