Green to dogs

Has a player ever moved clubs so quickly?

Foran will probably go to the Knights.
Mann kept at 9 for this weekend, and giving Lino a go over Randell shows they may see Mann as their long term 9, paving the way for Foran.

I would take Lino. He would be a great 14 playing hooker off the bench to give Levi time or just even as halves depth for Cust.

Brailey is their long term 9

I remember us joking about him trying to play for all 16 teams a few weeks ago. Looks like that dream is gone cause he's already done the dogs and he's too old for a double up!

It might just create an opening at the Knights for Foz to link up with his old mate...

From 2013 - pre-Grand Final Story

Two sides to one grand dream come true

MORE than a decade ago, two young boys hatched a dream on the salubrious streets of Sydney's upper north shore. Kieran Foran and Mitchell Pearce - brought together by geography but united by their love of rugby league - would one day line up together in a grand final.
Tomorrow, at Sydney's ANZ Stadium, the dream will come true - almost. Foran and Pearce will play in the 2013 National Rugby League decider, but on opposite sides.

Foran, who was just nine when he met the 10-year-old Pearce, will wear the No 6 jersey for Manly. The son of Balmain legend and rugby league commissioner Wayne Pearce will wear the No 7 for the Sydney Roosters.

As children, the pair would spend every waking hour working on their passing and kicking, along with Foran's older brother Liam. When they weren't in each other's back yard, they were in front of the television watching DVDs of the legendary Andrew Johns.

At times, their rugby league obsession took precedent to schoolwork. Kieran can remember days when he would look out the window of his classroom and see Pearce and his older brother sending spiral passes across the courtyard.

Despite the teacher's best efforts, they preferred passing a football to passing tests. Nothing changed when the bell rang.

When The Weekend Australian asked Foran's mother Sharon how often they were together, she replied: "How often were they not together? They were in each other's back yard every day. If they weren't playing sports together at St Ives North (Public School), they were in each other's back yard.

"It was constant. A revolving door of boys. If it wasn't league, it would be touch (football). If it wasn't touch, it was austag."

Mitchell's mother Terri added: "They practised their skills every day, kicking and commentating on each other. We were carpooling all the time."
