Great to see Gifty!

First Grader
Before the match yesterday, I had some lunch at the Brooky hotel with some pals and Gifty was at the table next to us. He looks happy and so good to see him attending games again as he was a massive part of our great team of a decade or so ago.

Time heals old wounds and so nice to see that the culture that Manly has is alive and kicking and to see our legends in the coaching team and surrounding the player group gives me great hope. Tommy Turbo is much better this season under the tutelage of Snake. He has gone up a few gears and our back 3 as a rule are much better and confident this season.

Even when the club is at a low ebb, the culture and the belief sustains us and the Barrett era is light years behind us!

true that!!! through thick n thin. manly all the way baaaby! seeing Brett with Tom was sooo awesome! warm n fuzzy feelings all over.. how lucky are we???!! seriously! such class on and off the field.

Des truly has the band back together. only piece missing now is Tooves. GO MANLY!

Dam it Sheridan stand 78

Should have said hi

I was at the table and could have reminisce about some of the great games of the 70’s in the famous stand

It was a very safe table which included some other gong boys and the owner of the pub

Next time don’t be shy and just say Go Manly and I will answer

We get there must weeks now and are trying to do a flyer down and back on Saturday to the storm game this week

We sat at the table opposite you at the back and next time I will do that. I didnt want to disturb Gifty as it was just wonderful to see him around the club again and I could talk all night about the Sheridan Stand and the 1970s and 80s, magical times. I will have some lunch at the Brooky before the Newcastle game, Cheers!

Brett seems to be slowly morphing into Sean Connery :giggle:
