Every game this round went in our favour, all the teams that needed to loose lost.. basically a 4 point round for us with the Bye..and the key losses .. we could have been out of the eight and 6 points from 4th .. with a few sides also above us ..but. NO.. go Manly

With the roster we have Bellamy and Bennet would have us winning the comp this year.

We have the two state of origin captains and have only make top 4 once since 2014.

What a disgrace the last ten years has been.

Watching the cowboys team today and adding up all the players they have in origin. They have some reasonable cover. There depth is a fair bit better than ours. And that's with JT taking up a mill a year to play 30 mins off the bench most weeks.

Our Starting 17 may be alright, but we fall away quickly.

Our depth has been our weakness for a long time but I feel like we have way less dead wood this year than we have had in the past. We don't have Morgan Harper or Kelman Tuilagi or Ben Condon being named in first grade anymore.

See I don’t actually agree. You can bet teams like the Roosters, Penrith and Cronulla are going to be knocking on the door at the business end of the year, regardless of what happens to Manly. We are not going to take a finals spot off these three big teams. We will be fighting with the likes of St George, Canterbury, and the Cowboys for a spot in the eight, and they all won. Sure, we look in a better position on the ladder this week because of some of these results…but that fight for the bottom of the 8 just got closer because of this weekend’s results.

Well that's a bleak outlook if ever there was. I bet the supporters of those teams you mentioned are saying the same thing about us. That is, knocking on the door at the business end of the season also.

If we are good enough then we make the top 4... and this weeks losses to the teams above us can only be a bonus..that's all I'm saying.
The fight for the top 8 is always going to be tough and tight we need (want) the teams above us to loose and as I said .. if we are good enough and win then this benefits us.....simple

You don't win premierships in the bottom 4 of the 8 and if we are not top 4 I would rather be 9th.. Far too many people have forgotten that Manly has a winning culture and just making finals doesn't cut it.. and it shouldn't, so why even worry about the top 8 getting closer.. it's top 4 or nothing

Since start of 2020 season the riff have played 68 games at home for 59 wins, 1 draw and 8 losses…
St Merge beat a second grade squad last week, tigpies got them in a low scoring game in a thunderstorm last year but otherwise it has been drizzle (x2), squeels (x2), vernin (x1) and ponies (x1)… not a coincidence that those four teams have played in the last 4 GFs against the riff…
If the riff have a full squad (or even close to really) and it is dry weather football then you will know we have a bloody good football team if we leave Bluebet with a W…

Couldn't disagree more! We need to begin to be finals regulars, that is how clubs build towards premiership success.

And we've beaten Melb, Roosters and Penrith and haven't played Sharks yet. It's a fluid comp, lot's more twists and turns to come, well, thats my opinion.

Don’t agree re Cronulla. They are very beatable imo. Have had a good run granted but that performance v Penrith was pretty telling. Then loss to Eels and they had only one or two out for origin I think.
