No, the word 'stacked' implies they have been assembled illegally. The words he should have used were 'multi-talented' or 'premiership-winning'.

Oh it does? In your world possibly. Obviously in this sense it is being used as slang and the definition would be a team that has lot of good players, not just 1 or 2 great players.
