How the f%%^ is that not 4 weeks.

Clear shoulder charge.

Please no suspension is a joke for that tackle.

I actually said to a mate last night that no Melbourne player would be charged. It was always going to be as such given their injuries and Bellamy throwing a tantrum. He called me a conspiracy theorist and said Nelson would get 4 weeks and Vete 2.

I actually agree with him , Parra players keep lying down trying to get penalties. You watch when Fergo gets tackled he frequently ends up in a sitting position .

And Queen Gutho standing over him flapping his arms around like a headless chicken demanding the referees blow penalties!

I can't get my head around penalising players in monetary terms. Is the NRL that hard up for cash?
That Melbourne Man Mountain will be fined $750 for his shoulder charge to the head. Now, he is either guilty or not. If guilty he should be suspended. If found not-guilty there should be no penalty.
How is a $ fine going to punish him or his team? The club will pay it in some way.
For me that incident looked a lot more serious than a minor fine.

Come on, Nelson is only on about $500K which over 20 weeks means $25K per week. So a $900 fine is nearly 4% of his pay for the week. Talk about hitting him with a feather. I am sure that next week he will think twice before lining up a Manly player with a shoulder to the head.
Also how did the centre who took out Moses with a coat hanger a couple of seconds after the ball had gone not get charged with a reckless late tackle? That's right they are playing Manly next week.
