Now that the NRL have got their ideal, pre-planned and successfully orchestrated Top 8 fixed in, get ready for some legs up!

It is not a very good look for the game having such a vast difference between the top and bottom teams and now the NRL will make it their no.1 priority to boost the competition points of the likes of Manly, Cowboys, Bulldogs and the Eels over the next 6 weeks.

With this extra assistance, combined (hopefully) with some decent footy from our boys we should really be able to push up a few extra spots on the table, or at the very least aim to boost our for an against as much as possible.

Look, like seriously, how the phuck could we possibly win the spoon with the likes of Tom, Jake, Taupau, Fonua-Blake, DCE and Walker and the late inclusion of the Refs in our team?

These players really need to step up, particularly in defence - Suli, Taufua, Parker.

We want to aim to concede no more than 3 line breaks today.

If we fix our defence and frustrate the Panthers, the points should flow.

Get our defence back in order so we have some hope vs the Sharks next week.

The two home games vs the Bulldogs and Titans we should win comfortably

Hate to interrupt your conversation but we haven't had a home game ref in our favor in the last 2 years

We could win the spoon because Trent has us trained to the minute

So true. In fact I'd go so far as Manly have completely lost home field referee bias ever since Arko retired in mid 1997.

Through the 1970s-90s we always got for the most part home field officiating when Bozo and Arko were about.

Since then it seems to me that referees go out of their way to prove they are not influenced by Brookie crowd and Manly. We're copping payback for Manly running the game in 1970s-90s.

Gus apparently approached about fixing the NRL , no way in **** will his team be getting stitched up. Got jobs to protect first and foremost

I don't remember the last time a 50/50 call went our way, like seriously can someone remind me. Everytime there's a slightly grey area for the refs we get the worse deal. Yesterday there was 1) the blatant strip by Yeoh on Taufua, badger was looking right at it and called it a knock on, 2) Peachey knocking on into turbo after missing his catch. 3) High tackle on Suli which wasn't called when the riff player punched his teammate in the face, 4) Quite blatant hair pull on Tapau, 5) Many "escorting" plays by riff which weren't pulled up

Panthers took it too a new level yesterday especially early on with their laying in the ruck and hands all over the ball and player. They got pinged a few times but kept doin it.

Listening to MMM on Friday night. There was discussion of the NRLs “State of The Game” report put out as a propaganda piece to supposedly balance the damage by the Canberra/Cronulla officiating etc etc. This was really just a long list of of what the NRL see as positives.......no negatives to give a balanced view on the real state of the game.

The interesting part was that the first couple of points mentioned in the report were around what are apparently record lows in game point differentials. Seems to add weight to the theory that the refs are under instructions not to let game scores blow out.

Asked around old Manly fans & seems official that the last time Manly got a win on the back of a dubious referee decision was a 1978 semi final vs the Eels. And no one at the ground or watching on tv even knew Manly had got the extra tackle.
