Gerard Beale

double hoops

First Grader
We might as well as just cut to the chase.

There has to be a better then fair chance he's our starting centre.

Thoughts?

I found his 2016 highlights interesting. We've all seen him play.
But I think seeing what makes his 2016 highlights might sum him up pretty well.

He gets mowed down a couple of times when he makes a break in his own 20. Yeah he makes some breaks but hes not that quick at centre.

You'd have to say hes a cleaver player, good passing game, and late feet at the line.

Did you see that flick pass he tried when he plays right centre yuck. You would want him on out left.

I'm wondering if he sort of works in that Sharks line up more, because of the pace of the two blokes either side of him, with Feki and Barber. They're the blokes going through the line, burning blokes and hole running. Beales predominantly is just a wide ball player.

Actually that Might well be the donkeys thinking if Benji plays centre, Milford inside, Mead outside. Hes never going to beat blokes himself just let him play what he sees with speedsters sucking in defenders either side.

Now this one I'm pretty sure won't be happening, I doubt Bozo would go for such a player. Plus Brian Kelly has been impressing at training so I don't know why we'd need Beale seeing there's also some decent support in the centres in Parker

You lost me at the "i doubt Bozo" nothing will surprise me anymore

If it does happen then losing a potentially good hooker for a NZ international centre AND getting a transfer fee in the process is good business.

Yep great business.

We get a journeyman centre at his fourth club who may or may not be marginally better than the 3 or 4 we have outside Walker and in return we have a side 2 months out from kickoff without a first grade standard player or any reasonable backup option in possibly the most important position on the field along with the halfback.

In a day where the rugby league spine is paramount this is undoubtedly a master stroke.

@susan Lewis Brown has played hooker for NZ. If he's good enough to start for them he's good enough to back up Api no matter how crap he is at centre.

I think you need to step back, take a breath and relax...

Beale is average at best. He's no Matai that's for sure.
