Georgalis takes no prisoners

Yes... but you’ve done SFA in the NRL, as have I. Des on the other hand.
I'll finish that sentence for you...

Des on the other hand... abandoned our club without any warning to chase a paycheck at the dogs and has coached Manly to 7 losses in our last 9 games with a relatively unchanged side.

...you're welcome 😉

I didn't watch their last match but I've seen Luke Thompson a few times and rate him highly. He has been one of their few success stories this season so I'm amazed he has been dropped.
Did he play that poorly against the Worriers?
I listened to that game on the wireless. Several times the commentators brought up his stats as far as not getting involved enough. Hard to come from Super League halfway through our season and play in a team that is coming last. I like the looks of him too. A full preseason, and he’ll be one to watch next year.

Steve Georgalis has drawn a massive line in the sand at Belmore and showed that he is not going to accept poor effort on his watch...
After that p*ss weak effort against Warriors last week when half the dogs were looking for a kennel after half time the coach has dropped Jack Cogger, Reimus Smith, Tim Lafai and the pommy international Luke Thompson to the reserves list whilst he booted Jake Averillo and Sauaso Sue from the squad completely...
He might be there for a short time but SG has shown that he is not gonna accept mediocrity under his watch... will be interesting to see how some of those guys go if/when they get back into the team...
He’s brought back Lachlan Lewis though. He has been in and out of the team all year. Maybe Trent can get him playing consistent good attacking footy next year? I don’t mind the kid. It’s just that for every one thing he does right, he blows it when the pressure is on when in the oppositions 20.

Agree completely... has all the skills but does not make good choices under pressure

He is very lazy off the ball. Often last to get back on site after a kick and walks around like he is stoned half the game.

Madge seems to have done pretty well setting the standards. Giving others a chance to achieve them, and challenging players who kept stuffing up to go back, improve and fight for their spot back.

The whole concept of "cant drop players as they might get upset is just bull****" It goes to show who runs some clubs Players not coaches.

Any coach who can't get the best out of players but dropping em, shouldn't be coaching.
