agenda-driven media 'experts' !!!!
Fair point, they attack and twist and outright invent stories ('rumours') to drum up each dramatic controversy that fans simply have to watch their program to find out about

Aaand here's Mr Hooper today. Correction (not apology) for making this up buried at the end of some random story

"Speaking of Da Silva and Galvin, on last Wednesday night’s NRL 360 episode I stated that Wests Tigers owners the Holman Barnes Group had been involved in the decision by CEO Richardson and the Wests Tigers board to part company with Lachie Galvin.

This is not the case. Wests Tigers CEO Richardson and the Wests Tigers board decided the club did not want to engage in a long and drawn-out legal battle with Galvin so it was best to cut ties.

The Holman Barnes Group was not involved in the Galvin decision."

Just came across this which I'd saved as I thought it may be interesting to look back on early expectations - this was sportsbet odds for 2025 as at 19 Feb, before round 1
Some quite dramatic over and underachievers
(Teams that were such long odds they didn't fit on the page include the Raiders, currently top of the ladder!)

Pretty slick production. Wonder who funded it!
Manly doesn't have many Moses clients now I don't think? Seibold, Brooks, Lodge on some minimum deal??
Seems a good point tho that coaches shouldn't be managed by player agents.
NRL needs to really tighten up the accreditation and standards for agents bigtime.

Apparently Sexton is off to the Catalans end 2025 due to the arrival of Galvin to the Dogs. Feel sorry for him and imo is a waste of a halfback to the ESL.

This article repeats the popular lie:

"His return to the field with the Broncos sparked outrage across all corners of rugby league after he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of illicit drugs without a licence following a car crash that injured three people in October, 2024."

He was not under the influence - he had traces of illegal drug in his body, which is an offence - but a far more trivial offence than DUI precisely because it is not alleged that the drug had any influence over how you drove. The trace amount found in your system could not have affected the driving.
