Galvin

Does the transfer fee from the Tigers, reportedly, calculated into Canterbury's salary cap?
If so, plus the salary they have to pay Gavin for the rest of this season, would add up to around $350,000 wouldn't it?
Quite extrordinary to think any club which hasn't released any players would have a spare $350,000 in its salary cap mid season.

I heard on one of those shows that it's outside the cap but 🤷🏻‍♂️

See I told you, what a s..t fight he has caused at the doggies now
You’re off the mark IMO. The **** fight is not Galvin’s doing; the Dogs offered him a contract, it’s on them. Galvin hasn’t forced a reshuffle, Gus and his recruitment team have. I don’t like Galvin and his management but it’s not his fault when a club reshuffles their team to accomodate a player they want.

Team first as Luai would say (until it's your spot)

I didn't know there was a 'Soft Cap'.
I've heard of a Screw top Cap which applies to clubs like Manly who don't have a flourish Leagues Club or a wealthy benefactor.

Ok ok I will concede..@@

This is what the offers are/were I believe.

Tigers $1.1m for 6 years
Eels $800K
Dogs $700k

You are right its a complete joke.

But surely the biggest joke is The Dogs just had a spare $700k available in this years cap.
They wouldnt be paying 700k for the remainder on this year

Panthers would be my second favs behind Melbourne
Wouldn't it be nice* if the GF was something like Wahs v raiders? No sign of Storm, Chooks, Pennies (no offence but their cup ranneth over) Rabbits, Broncos. Sharks even.
Would be like a symbolic returning of the game to the people, I say!

*Won't happen though because Manly will be one of the teams

Given he hadn’t been re-signed to this point, despite how the team has been going,I’d suggest Sexton has been aware of what they had planned for him for a while now
Gus's is good for his knowledge and stories. Unfortunately, in his current position people want him to be upfront about club plans, what club would do that. I feel he has every right to be guarded about bulldog business, we don't owe him and he doesn't owe us.

If not us Wahs V Raiders sounds about best option

I dislike the eels but he apparently advised them last Friday that he was joining them on $800k per year, then reneges & joins the Dogs for $700k! DCE MKII…..so happy to accept almost $500k less per year than what he would have earned at the Tigers? Wow that just does not sound right to me lolol. 19 years old & knocks back $1.2m for $700k??
So he’s doing this coz Benji wasn’t a good enough mentor for his playing career but Ciraldo is? At the Eels he would have had Moses to help nurture him. At the Tigers he had Benji & Luai. Who at the Dogs is gonna look after his development? Burton? Sexton?
There’s definitely something else in play here in my opinion! $1.2m to $800k to $700k….
I’d say $700k plus a lot of paper bags!!!

Whenever, one of these scenarios bobs up where a player takes unders to sign at a club, I can only think of one bloke.

Some at the NRL must have very short memories.

A on dispagement clause??

What are we...12 yrs old? lol.

The blockbuster move however hinges on one major stipulation within his release from the Tigers … a non-disparagement clause.

That clause would legally stop Galvin from discussing the situation surrounding his exit from the merger club and the Bulldogs are reportedly supportive of the Tigers’ demands.
