Really it’s a stupid comparison and yes you can see the thinly veiled propaganda behind it.
QLD and Politis virtually control the game these days , and I’d imagine the next 10 Immortals will all be Queenslanders, although Politis will insist a few Roosters get in there and **** everyone else!
I can’t believe how cynical I’ve become about the game and whilst I do tend to exaggerate profusely ( it embellishes a story) I’m not too far from being wrong.

The NRL is undeniably Queensland centric now. Their four clubs including the Melbourne drizzle which is pretty much a Queensland team based their enjoy wonderful support, TV and media coverage that the Sydney clubs can only dream of. The current Queensland team is pretty much the Cowpokes, Donkeys and Drizzle with the off add in. They run the ARLC and Greenturd is just an apologist for them. I live for the day when the NRL get that Rugby leagues exists beyond the sunshine state!!!

If the NRL had any aspirations to becoming, at some future time, a level playing field, a level propaganda field, a even talent distribution,
and a sport clean of bias, then the first shakeup towards that would be splitting Brizbane into 3 clubs, and the immediate sacking of Turd Greensnot. Newscorp's interests would also have to be reduced.
Unfortunately, as things stand, to introduce 2 Brizbane clubs, at least 2 Sydney clubs would have to merge or depart the comp.
And West Tiggs, Manly and possibly CSharks would be in the firing line of powerful commercial interests. (Who also want money spent on Homebush stadium etc.).
If the Socceroos can get into the finals, say the top 4 in Russia, then the NRL is looking pretty ugly.

Super league ± cap cheats in one comp (10 teams) and others in the other comp 10 teams) ie Manly.
New teams to include pacific islands ,png , logan/ Brisbane 2 and Perth / Adelaide.
No salary cap, and an all star game of players from each division who are not in the final to play off on "grand final" day

Fulton a great player. But imo and average coach. He had unlimited funds at his disposal and could only win 2 comps from 5 gf appearances.
For mine Hasler is the better coach of the two.
As for the grub from Melbourne it grinds my gears that if it wasn’t for two **** knees Brett would be remembered as the better fullback.

I don't know what all the fuss is about on this thread, although i do agree it is a bit odd that they are comparing Billy Slater and Scott Fulton. I would have thought they would compare Scott Fulton to Cam Smith given they play the same position and, to be fair, I think I would have to say Cam has the edge.
Sick of hearing this bull**** about Slater changing the way fullbacks played the game. Brett was light years ahead of him with ball playing ability his entire career
