MANLY SEA EAGLES

Elliott’s analysis: There’s quality in but there’s also quality out. They have new combinations and a new coach plus new structures and a new style of play. Even though they’ve recruited all right the mass changes will impact them early. Continuity within a club is a big part. Will their recruitment help them be a top eight side in 2016? No. Elliott’s grade: C

Ins: Dylan Walker (South Sydney Rabbitohs), Nate Myles (Gold Coast Titans), Martin Taupau (Wests Tigers), Lewis Brown (Penrith Panthers), Apisai Koroisau (Penrith Panthers), Darcy Lussick (Parramatta Eels), Tim Moltzen (Wests Tigers), Matt Parcell (Brisbane Broncos), Nathan Green (St George Illawarra Dragons), John Walker (rugby union), Tom Wright (schoolboy rugby union), Fabian Goodall (Parramatta Eels)

Outs: Kieran Foran (Parramatta Eels), Matt Ballin (Wests Tigers), James Hasson (Parramatta Eels), Justin Horo (Catalan Dragons), Jack Littlejohn (Wests Tigers), Ligi Sao (New Zealand Warriors), Michael Chee-Kam (Wests Tigers), Dunamis Lui (St George Illawarra Dragons), Cheyse Blair (Melbourne Storm), Jesse Sene Lefao (Cronulla Sharks), Will Pearsall (Newcastle Knights), Clinton Gutherson (Parramatta Eels), Peta Hiku (Penrith Panthers)

Ah, Matt Elliott.......isn't he the guy who was sacked from multiple clubs because he was a rubbish coach?

That was a rhetorical question is you didn't figure that out. @;)

I thought the same thing. "Continuity is a big thing within a club" Uh dip**** - we've had the same core for years. They're getting old and we need new blood. No wonder his NRL coaching record is terrible...

The thing is he is not taking into consideration those who have been retained and some who will start injury free. The Trbojevics and Knight surely will enhance Manlys chances significantly. Then there's a rejuvenated Taufua and Buhrer and Lawrence being injury free, Further, though we have lost some good talent in Gutherson, Foran and Hiku, the replacements offer more speed and variety (except with Gutherson). But its in the forwards I think Manly is enhanced especially with Parcell and Taupau. No, unless Manly is hit savagely by injury, they should make the 8 fairly comfortably. I dont think he has done his research too well.

Jesus, I just read the whole thing. We get penalised for lacking continuity but then clubs that recruited more like the Sharks, Parra and the Dragons get a B+ and the Bronco's can go to an A+ if their ONE recruit fires..?

How the hell did he get a column, or for that matter a job in the media?

If he would have said we were top 4 we would be saying he is a great guy, knows his footy. He probably is having a laugh as he reads Silvertails.

No respect for him before & this backs up why....Signings are astute & confident ALL teams would trade their signings for the likes of Kapow , Myles, Walker....including those getting A's for a fast headless chook as its 1 signing??
Another sacking on the way....most journalism is BS, this borderlines insanity!
