Important to look at total metres of the team over a period. Against Souths we comfortably gained more metres and that included a 100 m effort from them.

It sounds like I am defending mediocrity but our metres get shared around rather than get based on just a few players. Matai and co do some forward work.

I agree a few other guys need to step up but to have 9 forwards sharing the load rather than just a few is good especially at the back end of halves when players get tired and conceded points.

Worth noting we defended well in the last 10 against Souths when the heat was on and yet we looked like breaking them down when we had the pill.

The stats I saw on the night of the game seemed to indicate Manly making about 200 metres more but either they were updated or I got it wrong!!!! :stupid:
