Fortress Brookvale - Fortress 4 Pines

Maybe old fashioned but I think if we are to get back to the team that can consistently fight for a premiership we need to get the old fortress Brookvale mentality into our players. It has to start with them before it can get into the psych of the player who visits.
It has been a distinct advantage for us in the past and with such a strong group of players who have moved into the top team from the junior system it should be a realistic goal.
I don't know how to motivate the modern sportsman but we need to make it hurt (more) for our guys to lose at Brookie and make it really hurt the opposition to win.
It's a pleasure to hear the old players say how they hated (read feared) coming here to play. Can't say I've ever heard old players say it about any other ground.

Yes it seems we have totally lost the Fortress mentality at home over the past few seasons. Last year was better, but there was a time when we were near on impossible to beat at brooky. These days it feels I lot less fortress like. Will be good to get a couple of wins there over the next two weeks.
