Firstly i totally agree the officiating was shocking.....but so is that Tigers team and if Manly are serious they should have won by 16 plus points, if are a real threat to the big teams.
Take out Tom T and our lack of direct attack was a shambles.
The quetions about the "strange" officialling was accompanied by Manly's soft first up contact and AGAIN, allowing the bloke to plat the ball to take control playing it 1-2m off the mark to kick down the front door behind the ruck....officials fault...a little....Manly's fault.....a lot !!
The bombed tries in the end stick if we are up by a margin and there was just a sick feeling it wasn't our night.
And the reason the ball bounced their way a couple of times for tries - make no mistake, they were hungrier and could smell we were off.
Really not out for too many excuses from Seibold tonight, just to come out next weekend with fire from the nostrils and more just call it out....we were flat and took it too easy....expecting to win without getting any bruises.
Anyways that's my take and again as a broken record.....bring back a 9 with better service from dummy half called Simpkin who done nothing wrong and get Talau back into that right centre....and PLEASE, control that ruck area in defence because so sick of seeing the opposition play the ball while the Manly boys are struggling to get off the ground ....

Really we just didn't turn up turbo dce only 2 who really cared tonight

We just imploded and have just cost ourselves a home final and possibly missing the 8

To throw our season away like we did tonight hurts the most

Hmmm…I think we turned up expecting an easy win, scored 16 points & eased up a bit then the ref took over & penalised & sinbinned us out of the game.

Playing 50 minutes of 80 with 12 men against a team who had their tails up because the ref awarded a 6 again, penalty or sin bin every time the crowd roared took us out of the game.

Starting the second half a man down & keeping the Tigers scoreless for that 6-7 minutes only to have a second player binned as soon as we were full strength again was the final nail in the coffin.

We did well to mount a comeback, interestingly once the ref decided to put his whistle away & let the game flow again, but fatigue saw us make mistakes & not quite get there.

1. Talau back in a left centre.
2. Koula to right wing for Saab
3. Simpkin back in the nine
4. Lodge into the 17 for Alioia
5. Croker on the pine for Gordon
6. Lawton to left edge
7. Navale on the pine for Waddell.

That’s the worst game I seen from the middle forwards this season, not one middle forward played at the level required.

Simpkin to 9, Waddell & GKCT back to Blacktown, Croker to bench, Koula still playing injured.

Trbo
Saab
Garrick
Talau
Lehi
Brooks
DCE
Paseka
Simpkin
Aloiai
Olakau’atu
Lawman
Jrbo
Res: Croker, Bully, Brown, Sipley
I like that team though, I would have Lodge for Alioia, Koula for Saab and Navale for Sipley..

We won’t miss the 8 as dolphins won’t beat Melb then we are safe anyway. That said we bring that garbage again and we won’t win again. What’s weird is in the back of my mind in a dark corner i had a moment/thought we’d lose today and then win the last two. Damn first part came true.

Hopefully tonight’s game is a rocket up their collective backsides & we come out roaring against the dogs & sharks the next 2 games.

Have to agree, maxta: our contact was woeful and our defence around the ruck was non-existent. That was evident even when we got to 16-nil up. Really, really disappointing, but not at all unexpected. We knew the calls would not be going our way at Leichhardt. We knew the Tigers would want to win. We knew we had to hold onto the ball and not let them into the match, but we did it anyway.

Defence, or the lack of it, has been our undoing for years. And we let the Tigers roll through the middle and score five straight tries. Just piss-poor, really.

Even if we do make the eight from here, we don't have the starch to compete with the better teams.

The best part about tonight was to confirm we aren't a snowballs chance in hell this year. At least IF we do fall into the finals it'll be no surprise or disappointment at us falling back out in week 1.

Let's be honest, did anyone truly believe we were a genuine chance of doing anything this season other than make up the numbers?! This team still cannot defend!!

If there is no response from us next Friday night then our boys shouldn't be playing NRL

That was a very demoralizing performance tonight and we need to show a reponse
