Why blame the Clubs?
These days fines are read out like a passing ship.
$10k for saying you don't agree with the referee!
$50k for having a blue on the side-lines.
$100k for allegedly being drunk (proven wrong) in a public place.
These fines are just numbers on paper.... if you can afford them!
It's like a CEO and an unemployed person copping a parking fine; one wipes it off like a dirty rag and the other wonders what he/ she is going to eat nex week.
IMO, blaming the Club for wrong-doings by individual players is dead-set wrong.
Why not hit the players for something we can all understand and serves as a financial reminder that this in intolerable?
Hit Glen with a $20,000 fine or 5% of his salary.
(I love the man as a player but not to the detriment of the club)
and BTW, where does the money go?
