Finally...almost a game

Enjoyable game with Cows/Sharks.
Aggressive defence hunting in numbers....good scramble....desperation
It took me back....not to the wild full on combat of the 80's, but tough contact of the 90's standards....will be some sore boys tomorrow....
It showed even the best attacking brilliance can be shut down by a willing team, with line speed & aggression....as the Cows struggled to gain any serious momentum in the last 40 mins...
It's a good game for Barrett to show Manly during reviews...it's not about playing pretty, winning ugly is fine & commitment & those 1% effort plays you see in tonight's game every set....probably count them on 1 hand watching every Manly game.
Back to the game...loved the intensity & almost felt jealous watching these 2 teams compete with such enthusiasm....great game but will end post as it really put our 2016 performances in perspective....if only we played with that pride, desire & guts.

In recent seasons...in fact kind of own them for many since the 73, 78 grand finals....maybe makes it harder to watch a changing of the guard...still feel they will fold as usual come finals time as usual...just not at the hands of Manly
