Falzon's new football buddies

SHE'S back and says she's on her best behaviour, but Candice Falzon still can't seem to get enough of keeping company with Sydney's football fraternity.

Her infamous toilet-cubicle companion Sonny Bill Williams was wisely nowhere in sight but the former blonde found a friend in Williams' Bulldogs teammate Willie Mason and Sea Eagles star Glenn Stewart at the APL celebrity poker challenge at Luna Park on Saturday night.

Falzon told guests of the VIP party she was officially on the wagon until at least Christmas in a bid to stay out of the headlines and focus on the Australian lifesaving series this summer.

Last month she fled to London, where her agent Max Markson claimed she would compete and enjoy some downtime.

Her achievements - or otherwise - failed to register back home, but Falzon played her cards right in taking the much-needed time away from the spotlight as the fallout from her toilet tryst in the Clovelly Hotel at Easter continued to dog her at every red-carpet turn.

Falzon's latest gamble on sobriety sounds even more meritorious.

Confidential has been assured the bottle of Wild Turkey bourbon mixer she nursed at the playing table all night was not what it seemed and was filled with soft drink.

The sugar rush from her fizzy drink must have been enough to fuel the party girl on, as she kicked on with friends, including a few Manly players, after being beaten by Mason for the VIP poker crown.

Haha, Glenn is smashing it now. Dirty girl.
