How good !!
Turbo returns....the Schu back last week and will only be better for the run....Okalatu back from suspension...
All key players who along with the 6 and 7 are the players we need to lift to compete in 2022.
Also excited about the young centre pairing - Koula and Benny T.
In fact the entire team should lift just having these Star players on the paddock and though Manly have not been in sparking form, many like Garrick have stepped up and that's a great thing moving forward.
Pity we don't have Aloiai and Paseka to ice the cake, but pretty stoked with this weeks lineup and expecting big things and the best part, whatever we get Saturday will only improve as the season rolls on....in fact there is arguably more upside of potential at Manly than any other club.
Mark rightly pointed out Storm and Penrith are in their own league, but I feel we have seen the best of them.
Rather than try compete at that level yet, Manly need to simply show they are a team on the up and cement that "Top 3 - 4" as it's a long road to finals and to be a sneaky position in the shadows and then change gears with a bit of momentum is the best chance in very unlikely circumstances, as have not seen a 2 horse race like this for a while.
Anyways, if we were to begin the climb needed the best players on the paddock and certainly got a few this week which is a Huge boost.

Aloiai is listed on the bench, or you know something I don't know. Summed it up pretty well.

It is still important to get Tent and Davey back to strengthen our pack.
It will be interesting to see if we miss Parker's defence and Saab's speed over the next month.
As we all know an injury can be catastrophic for one player yet an opportunity for his replacement.
I do agree that if we are to challenge for a top four spot this year Al, The Shoe and Guacca are among our key seven players.

I definitely like this weekend’s side. Paseka, Davey, and Lawton could slot in somewhere at full strength. I also worry about Burbo at centre. We’ll miss Parker. That’s our biggest question mark right now

We might miss Saab's speed if we actually had been seeing any of it. He's done jackall so far.

Isn't it funny mate that Parker has been the 'let's drop him whipping boy' for so long and now we all are like jeeez we are going to miss his hard runs and D.....

Very interested to see how we go..
I’ve been a big proponent of moving on Harper and Parker, so keen to see what a pairing like koula and Ben can bring to the table
(To be fair to Parker his defence and hard runs have been good this year and deserves respect for that, but at the same time he’s absolutely toothless in attack..
Not sure burbo is the answer as I feel he’s a reserve grade back rower playing centre but who knows… let’s see how the game goes

Like I say, this backline gets us closest to a premiership (right now):

01. Tom Trbojevic
02. Christian Tuipulotu
03. Tolu Koula
04. Dylan Walker
05. Reuben Garrick
06. Kieran Foran
07. Daly Cherry-Evans

I think that's our strongest 1-7

Ryan. You are sounding like a broken record. You must have posted your best side 50 times in the last month.

How about when Des picks your side, tell us all about it then 😉😃

Team selections are the story of our group atm mate. Sorry if that's grating at you. This IS about getting players back as well.

Walker is adding so much value as a middle. Why risk losing that to play him in a position he hasn't played for years?

Because in my view, he's still our marquee centre (who may add as much value)
Secondly it would allow us to blood someone like Kaeo Weekes (which builds to the future) - who could also jump in at dummy half
Third (again in my view), Burbo is great, but he lacks the mobility a line running to be a centre, but would make an amazing mobile backrower.
