'ex' Barrett's Bulldogs

They have a good chance against the raiders too, just need another Gould video and training session and for him to take over the coaches box again.
And Trent to do what he does best...
Slip on that sexy suit, gel his gorgeous hair and with a sparkle in his eyes strut his stuff on the catwalk......sorry I mean sidelines.

Imagine the champagne and kebabs flowing at Vaughan's

You sound a lot like @bringbackthebiff - he was obsessed with Trent's beautiful eyes and hair...

Very pleased to hear Barrett will be the Dogs long term coach.

"I don’t care what the media says, I don’t care what the commentary says, I know the truth. That’s all I need to know. I’m satisfied with that".

Does that apply to the Bulldogs fans paying g out their hard earned and sponsors too Gus ?

From what I see and read a vast number of fans are not all that happy with Barrett not sure about sponsors, I just wonder if Gus is underestimating the divisive nature of the topic

For Bulldogs fans, and Barrett, I hope they back up that win from last week. Wonder who they are playing ?

Roosters issues this season are exactly the same as ours. They have a utility halfback / five-eight playing Hooker.

Do people see the similarities? Despite good rosters on paper, the results are so.hot and cold.
They've played really well with Verrils playing hooker in the past so I don't think he's the problem. They just seem a bit disjointed and disinterested for mine. Very early in the season though

Keary has been struggling to regain his top form, the forwards haven't been terribly good and the combo Keary has with Walker is a long way from great at this stage

Difference between Phil Gould and Ivan Cleary? Cleary wouldn't take Gould's ****, and stood up to his antics (hence they clashed) and Cleary was sacked, despite obvious qualities.

Trent Barrett is a yes man.If Gould asked him to do two backflips on his way to the centre of the training park, while Gould bent over, cheeks spread apart, demanding Barrett kiss him on his sphincter, he would !

Gould is an ago-maniac - basically if anyone dares oppose or disagree with him, he fires them, blocks them etc. He'd be the worst boss in history.

A guy at my golf club had Gus working for him but only for a VERY short time.

I suspect Barrett would be extra gun shy going against Gus after he clashed with Bozo when he was here. Barrett himself had quite an ego back then. A few of the things Barrett said about Gus running the training sessions made me think he may regret how he handled things with Bozo.

The problems with Hastings surrounded his inability (at the time) to function harmoniously in what is essentially a social setting...yes there is a job to be done, but 30 blokes and coaches and high performance staff makes for a certain type of culture...you have to find a way to fit in and Hastings took himself very seriously and did not respond in the usual ways that others do when immersed in such a community.

For example, Joel Thompson was a real hard head and used to train with serious intensity and get stuck into teammates during opposed sessions. Most knew that it was just training and not to take it to heart, whereas Jackson would get upset about it...I guess in a way it’s not unlike the situation at Triple M with Maroon. Blokes are being blokes and having what they think is just banter....some cop it with a smile and others get really worked up by it. Although what happened at Triple M seems more like a more serious form of workplace bullying...but you get the drift.

It’s a shame it didn’t work out because Barrett really could have used Hastings skills in what a train wreck of a season.
