I swear that the Great Britain and England sides that struggled to beat the Aussies back in the 90's would tear this current England team apart.

For starters they had good halves in Garry Schofield, Andy Gregory, Shaun Edwards and Bobby Goulding plus others like Jason Robinson, Graeme Steadman, Martin Offiah, Jason Robinson, Lee Jackson, Phil Clarke, Jonathan Davies.

Edit: Where GB and England were let down was their forwards. They had decent enough backs with skill and pace to burn, but rarely did their forwards get the better of ours and often didn't even break even.

They may not have beaten us but this current Pommy mob pales in comparison to their 1990's sides.

And that's the half time score. Scotland have probably been the better team but discipline and some poor on-line defence has let them down.

England have absolutely no talent in the halves. I mean, Dylan Walker was a better 5/8.......

Bennett will probably focus on the positive momentum. England a bit lucky with the second try. The Scottish captain Danny Brough looks like he is enjoying the occasion.

Considering the final score (England 38-12) and reading these posts, the poms must've really put their foot down in the 2nd half.

Hardly. The ref (Gerard Sutton) didn't give Scotland an even break. Sure their discipline was poor and their defence isn't up to scratch, but Sutton was penalising them for just about everything. England should have won easily with the amount possession they were gifted.

Given what we saw before the tournament and since its started, it appears that the Kangaroos are a class above right now.
