After jagging top 4 last year the squad would have had extremely high goals all through the off-season, and I certainly had high hopes.
A sputtering start to the year came to a full stop last week. Yes there are reasons, but Gee if this side is to go anywhere they need to stand up tonight.

I’m in Darwin for 10 nights and will be out to dinner tonight with a bunch of people so won’t be watching the game nor participating in the game night thread, but will be sneaking a look at the scores in between courses.

Very low expectations, hope they at least have a crack.

For mine the next two games will define the remainder of the season. If we get beat resoundingly tonight and next week we are not likely to make the 8 IMO. Time to get things right tonight. Time for DCE to keep it simple and for the team to respect possession. Unlikely, but I am always hopeful but stopped watching last week it was too painful. It’s a shame we get a decent crowd at decent crowd at Brookie against the Tigers and then dish up a sh-t sandwich the following week.

I also want to say that there was no heart and soul in last weeks disgraceful 38 to Zero effort .

Passionate fans will always support our legendary Manly club but we will never accept mediocre Zero Unmanly performances from our players

If our players do not do justice to their legendary jerseys and redeem them selves and beat the eels tonight . They can all sign up for the North Sydney Bears and play in Western Australia

So many things to improve upon from last week , guess it will come down if the attitude and application will enable this . Did hang in there for a good portion of the i st half against the Broncs despite a heap of things going against them so some encouragement and of course with the personal still available should be more then capable of a form bounce . With a few more Friday night feature games , a couple of very ordinary efforts previously and hardly helping or enhancing Manly 's product appeal or profile so hopefully again a big form turn around against the Eels . Not too sure of the conditions expected , another wet track probably not ideal , certainly will restore some confidence if Turbo is in better fitness state . Surely could not be as poor as last week but if they can "t lift tonight , could get ugly again .
