Also, is it just me, or did they ask the same ****ing question 10 times to him, because they weren't getting the actual answer they wanted?

Morons in the media.

LOL. I know, keep asking the same question until the answer is different.

Lucky I saw the answer (I think on Fox News) where he said he loves the beach, loves the area etc and was very happy living there.

When I saw channel 10 edit there’s, it looked like he was leaving.

Typical of some scum of the earth journos.

He certainly looks fed up but not sure if he’s going. He gave me hope he wasn’t.

How the **** do you get Walker wanting out, out of that? Hahaha.

Jesus Christ, this board!

That's just what I saw mate. The body language was what got me. Personally I hope he stays because he's the best centre in the NRL when on form.

But I will grant that it could have been because they were asking the same question over and over. I get annoyed when that happens to me. But that's not the impression I got. He kinda struggled to come up with saying he wants to be at Manly.

The way he answered a couple of those questions ,doesn't fulfil confidence in being here next season.I thought the stop and pause after being asked " Do you want to leave "is good enough reason to cause doubt. The added response when asked about apparently being unhappy was " I got to look after my family first". From that ,I think he is probably gone.
But totally understand everyone sees things differently through their own eyes.
Don't really understand why you would volunteer to front the media if you were honestly sick and tired of the constant media barragement.

Some dodgy editing going on in that interview!

Don't you just love the initial shot making sure a 'demountable' is framed in the background. Keep in mind if the camera is turned right about 45 degrees you would get a brick building with a Sea Eagles head office sign on it.

Look, I can see where the OP and some others are coming from, but as the first part of the interview (recorded second) shows, he's sick of the media b/s and basically just walks out on them. They've then put the first part of the interview 'second' where he still says he loves the club and loves being around here.

I can see the bit where he stumbles over a few things and the tin foil can come out but when faced with a collection of sports 'journos' (what was it we decided on calling them.. a moron of sports journos? a gump load of sports 'journos'?..)

where was I?

Oh yes, keep in mind when faced with a moron of sports 'journos' not everyone is highly media trained, can keep their emotions under check, and will take time to get the best answer formulated in their heads.

DCE does this well, but have a listen to Jake, he feels he really needs to get some sort of answer out as fast as possible.

I think he's just fed up with everything and needs a break from this crap hole of a season (like most of us)

And now..... the long answer: lol 🙂

Does Penn still want him at Manly? There have been a few players now, where there has been a suggestion they were off loaded because a back ended deal, was coming to fruition.

Managements tactic appears to be use and abuse. Sign em up on great money. Back end it. Get some years out of players on the cheap, then piss em off, even paying some freight, so that the massive pay day isn't paid by Manly.

Hardly seems like the type of game plan to attract star players to your club in the future. People have families, get settled. Make there own future plans around contracts. If I signed for 3 years on X dollars. Id want to be there 3 years and get paid X dollars.

Bosses have to look after their people Mr Penn. Create an environment people want to work in. If the only consideration you have is the purse string and being tight. Then U can't afford the footy club.

Thats what i was seeing mate . My opinion he's gone .

If he goes he goes, he hasn't set the world on fire this year, far from it , he'll struggle to find another club to pay him the money we've been paying him.
He is no longer state of origin quality. His past misdemeanours and injuries and mouthy approach would also influence the trajectory of his 2018 market value.
