Dylan Brown is worth half of that money and Drugcastle must be desperate.

I despise the system that allows a player to sign a contract with a rival club after 1 week of competition. So unfair on members of clubs who now have to watch a player that their club nurtured and gave an opportunity, play it safe for the season.

I watched Kieran Foran do that in 2015 and frankly it was agonizing to see an adored player sign with our despised enemy.

The NRL need to fix this system, there needs to be a transfer window for all clubs to make their trades.

He's a dangerous player with heaps of talent but is not a dominant playmaker. He's a runner and a foil for an organising half. For this reason, he is probably not worth building a club around. He's a guy you'd happily have in your roster but you don't want him to be your main man.

I agree he isnt but I think you can shape a team around him and Ponga with a more budget organiser at half.

Where that leaves Sharpe I've not idea as he looks.......sharp

$13M reasons it is best for his family… that is GUARANTEED MINIMUM wages for the next 10 years (I assume, unless there are performance clauses which I highly doubt as Hastings is still getting paid)… he gets injured, he still gets paid $13M over 10 years!

If the salary cap goes up or then that coin gets even better…

Dylan would be crazy NOT to sign that contract and Mumma Brown didn’t raise no fool..

They could've signed Luke Brooks, cloned him, and then got Jake Arthur, with room to spare. This may end up being the worst signing of all time.

He is a much better player when playing down the right instead of being stuck on the left at the Eels.
Moses plays on the right and so rarely plays there.
Probably be a much better player if the give him that option,has always been more effective down the right.(Yes,I know many think every half should be able to play any side, doesn't work that way a lot)

He’s a good player no argument… but he is not a $1.3M player imo… I agree with the earlier poster that (for once) the eels got it right on his value (at this stage)…

He may prove me wrong but right now Moses is the gun half in that pairing, so what is he worth now?

Surely, the Knights don't have to pay more when the cap goes up. If so, it's crazy money for a player that's come from a club that hasen't had any real success for a long time.

As far as big money, long term contracts Newcastle did okay with Ponga I reckon. I don't know if I'm blind but I'm not seeing what they are in Dylan Brown. Maybe a lack of available talent and the incoming PNG that's going to be (tax-free) loaded has forced their hand? He's an alright 6 but they're signing him on 7 money so I don't think they're going to strike gold twice with this one.

I wouldn't hate a strong Knights team in the NRL so good luck to them except against Manly, I hope they all enjoy some strawberry milkshakes when AOB is sacked midseason.

Only about 400k a year too much. Handy 6 but this is a crazy deal imo. Good luck to him tho for landing it. What’s the bet he’s in a knights jersey by the end of this season in a swap deal of some sort. Can see the Eels going terribly and Knights pushing for an 8 spot this year and the clubs coming to an agreement.
