GAME DAY!!!

wooohooo

wow. what a big game. Good Luck to Kaeo but I must admit, I was a lot happier at the start of the week before covid decided to head to the northern beaches.

cometh the hour... cometh the...coughing and sneezing.

Just not sure where the 110/120 tackles come from in the forwards... Croker and Jake do at least 40 each - Davey close to 30... just who is doing that workload? Sadly I just don't see it. Wer don't have the back up cattle who can do that amount ... not to mention the no errors and mop up work those three are responsible for. I am sure we will be super competitive but even against the dragqueens it will be a HUGE win if we get up.

De Luis is the only other guy in our squad who makes a ton of tackles in reggies. I’d get him in somewhere

There are positives to come from every challenging situation that arises

The positive to come out of the missing defensive workload from Jake , Davey and Croker
Is the opportunity for all our forwards not be be reliant on others but to be focused on the extra defensive demands required of them .

Des's player rotation will also play a important role in the heavy draining weather conditions

Geez we look defensively weak up the middle. I'll be happy with any win today but i think we will need a lot of points in us as we'll leak some..

Good luck to Weekes on debut, looking forward to seeing him play.

GO MANLY!

yes hard though... he offers nothing in attack - he does a lot of hit ups but he makes no metres in NRL standard games.. maybe at Blacktown he goes ok
Neither does Jake to be fair. We have enough in attack. We can do with him in there making tackles.. not sure Ben is upto it. Nor Weekes. Foran to hooker.. he maybe. Not sure Walker can. Going to be interesting.

Kick long and frequently to turn them around and make them come out of their own end. Fast kick chase game and leadership is required here. Our halves have to take control totally in this. Let's see if we get it ???

Hunt Amone and Ramsay can cause us problems if they attack our depleted middle. Although I'm not sure they are smart enough to come up with that plan.
If we maintain a high rate of possession we'll win going away, but if we are careless with the ball then it will be a very difficult proposition.

Great contest

Our recent form and team morale over the last month to 5 weeks of footy, will come to the forefront, our boys will all lift and play with extra purpose, winning tonight away from home under fairly adverse conditions, will be huge for us on our run into the finals, building that special kind of self belief, gaining that next man up type of mentality, winning becomes infectious and manifests and we are in that process at present.
I see this game under the circumstance, meaning something more to the group, they will turn up and play for each other tonight, our backs need to get heavily involved, especially carrying out of our end and Chez needs his A kicking game. Big boost to our year tonight, smart disciplined footy and the desire to win, we got this.

I am 10 minutes from the Ground and there is no sign of sun

The grey sky is consumed by rain clouds

and there are bursts of heavy rain that stop and start again

Evening forecast predicted 14 C with rain
