Aside from long term injuries to key players that will undoubtedly expose our weak depth again, and the possible falling out between senior players and Seibold if things get off to a rocky start, the other big variable will be whether or not a couple of the young brigade kick on - particularly Walsh, Laifai, Large, Hart. If we get a few breakout seasons from these guys, energy and competition for spots may sustain good form for longer periods. Otherwise, we are in the sh*t.

As others have said, it's all about the 'ifs': Turbo and the forwards basically IMHO. We didn't have a strong pack to begin with and injuries cruelled that even further. I honestly believe we have the backline to mix it with the best. Two good signings, but we need at least one more great signing in the forwards. I can't see who that is at the moment. Assuming we go into 26 with who we now have, I think we'll be top 8 but not top 4. Probably win one finals game then out.

I don’t think Fogarty is as good as DCE but I think that will actually make our team better. During the season when we took a more conservative approach and got into the grind we looked a lot better than trying to score every play.

Settled centres and Burbos improvement will improve the edge defence. Just hope the middles can get going and dominate the ruck for periods in games.

Storm just won the Jersey Flegg beating Penrith so the future just looks more of the same for many years to come. I see little point in continuing to pour my emotions into a team that simply cannot compete at the same level as these clubs and a spineless, clueless nrl administration who are doing nothing to provide a more even and competitive competition

To beat the panthers you need to commit to a certain style of play and never deviate from it. Requires practice, dedication and tailored recruitment to get the right players for specific roles. How many other teams have such a defined style of play? Certainly not Manly. Recruiting gun players is not the answer. Relentless adherence to structure is the only way to beat them. Over officiating means the game now favours structure over adventure.
