Did you know??

Zorba was one of the few players in the history of the game to have played in a grand final and taste Victory .

No one , I would hope, questions Peters efforts on the football field. He was a top first grade player

... and a reasonable goal kicker. Who would have thought it looking at him now?
He played with Doesn'tmatta originally. He was a really dirty player. Luckily he never played with Hoppa Snr because there would have been a brawl every match.

I have heard from supporters that have seen him play live that Zorba was a tough and skillful player .I think some one also said he was also a goal kicker ?
I saw the replay of the brutal 1973 Grand final win against the Sharks and Zorba never went missing in action and this is a photo of the English pommy forward giving Zorba a full blooded a stiff arm right in front of the ref . Any one but Zorba would have been concussed and carried out on a stretcher after that big swinging arm from that Giant Sharks prop but not Zorba .
I met Zorba a few times and I found him ok . Who knows maybe I got him on a good day but Zorba was ok . Zorba Typified the Manly passion . It is a shame that We all love Manly but we don't all get on. But that's life . We all love our families but we don't get on with all of them either . What we all get on is with our beloved Sea eagles .

Every winning grand final team needs a dirty player . Nothing clean about grand final matches .
You need to have a mongrel player to ruffle a few feathers and get players off their game .

Tom or Matt Wright, Fluffy? If they get Anderson into the side early, I think you are right with him and TT. Watch out for Kelly and Walker though

Im a bit worried you have to ask but Tom. He will score plenty of tries if he plays the season, probably will let in plenty as well but no more than Suli did this year.

I've been waiting for you to make a comment about Kelly's missed tackle rate Bozo. I could see it coming. Yes he does miss a lot, but he also tries a little too hard to make tackles that he shouldn't be attempting and others should be making. Tom W. does the same thing. But yes both need to get a bit of tutoring over the summer, because in attack, both are stand outs on the rise and its a shame their defensive limitations become the focal point of discussion about them.

You have been waiting for the obvious have you mate ?

Not surprised by DCE. He took the goal kicking reigns, so he was destined to beat his previous record.

I don't mind the fact that a forward topped the try list, its just disappointing that the top tries scored was 9.
Also disappointing that the club can't retain the only forward since the beaver who is a try scoring machine. The club has invested a couple of years into Lanes development. Development is a waste of time, if a club can not follow up with retention.

Interesting that 3 of those sides are in the finals
No doubt all of these other sides had better recovery and scrambling defence then Manly . Maybe just lack of desire , experience and structure but something that must be a high priority to improve and fix up for approaching seasons .

One player is a rookie one NRL game player and the other is a seasoned NRL Player . Why are you comparing him with a rookie ?

I must admit I stand out in a crowd Bozo. But I'm on a diet now.
Good on you mate . I hope for your health sake you can stick to your diet and enjoy the benefits of good health . The hardest part of a diet is to stick it out long enough until it becomes a habit . We are all creatures of habits . Good luck and if you need any assistance or motivation I am happy to give a feathered friend my expertise and time . Just message me any time .

Wouldn't exactly call Kelly a seasoned NRL plyer after two seasons. He's only a year older than Tom W. Both are still in their formative years. I think we'll know more about Kelly next year and hopefully Tom W. will break out of his shell then as well.

As far as defending Kelly, I tend to assess by way of what I see them potentially in years to come, not so much at this stage of their career. Kelly has some sublime skills, still developing. There are some players you just sense have that natural skill, time to make the impossible seem natural. I remember watching Jamie Lyon at Parra in his early years, and Cliff Lyons at Norths. Even your hero in his first year was nothing special, but you could see the class in some of his actions that promised for the future They had that same ease of doing things that the average footballer will never do. There's just something about how easily they do things that others cant seem to do. Kelly, to me, has that basic skill, still under developed and needing refinement, but its there I call it the Mark Ella Factor.

Mind you Kelly has not yet signed for next year. There's a couple including Sironen, Koroisau, Suli, who Manly haven't signed up yet.
