I see this morning Selwyn Cobbo from the broncs is being chased by up to 7 clubs willing to throw 700k his way. Now he's got talent I know and its All rumour at this point but got me thinking back to the end of 2020 and beginning of 2021 on our 0 - 4 run.
I may be giving the club too much credit here but whats the chance they actually held back on playing some of our young guns in order to keep them out of the shopping window? Look at the Shoe, Holymoley and a few others. They were all locked up on long term deals before they really had a chance to be seen by other clubs for the guns they were.
Whatever money those 2 boys are on now would only be half what they could achieve on open market.
Both could be worth 700k to right clubs easily you would have to think?
Smart play by club or just luck in how it played out.
