Maroon is not a primary colour, and since Manly were first to use it, we should get exclusive rights.

Queensland, Broncos and Melbourne should be forced to wear a colour other than Maroon.

You would obviously have to look at when the Manly District Rugby League started and when QRL did as well.
You can thank Singo for the Maroon in the broncos jerseys, they were going to play in Brisbane City's colour's which are blue and gold. Singo told them you'd be mad not to have maroon in the colour's.
Melbourne how you got maroon from purple is beyond me. They chose purple to get as close to the Victorian colour's as possible : Navy Blue.

According to wiki QLD rugby league team have been wearing Maroon since 1908. Even before rugby split into two separate codes they were wearing maroon jerseys apparently.

I agree about the Broncos though, they should be forced to permanently wear their terrible banana yellow away strip.

Again according to wiki Manly Warringah Junior Rugby Football League was founded in 1932 & played in the President's Cup competition. The colours maroon & white were adopted from Freshwater Surf Lifesaving club.

Last year for Game III, my family and I headed to QLD and were walking down Caxton St; my bandwagon QLD supporting brother (we were both born and raised in Western Sydney) was wearing his Manly jersey and a drunk guy shouted out at us, "HEY MATE.
