How quickly things change.
48 hours ago, I was seriously worried about the squad, some of our recruitment, and where we would go to should our changes for week 3 not pay off.
All of a sudden:
T-Red had a great game, and looks to be 'back'
Mateo was excellent in his brief stint - a great 'change up' for us late in a game. He attract defenders, which frees up DCE, Snake and Walker - a bit like a key forward in 'soccer' attracting an extra defender
BJ - how good was he?
Taupau - I was SO impressed with him. This guy is fiery, bends the line, and unfortunately, is highly likely to spend many weeks on the sideline fairly regularly. I expect him to get 4 weeks....
But on the plus side, if we can get Lussick and/or Buhrer back and in form, we can cover his loss.
A new day, and a new cause for optimism.
What were we all so worried about?
Perhaps Trent was simply foxing, and wanted to take all pressure off our first half of the season in true Manly style, and fly a long way under the radar!
