Defence in the centres.

Just wanted to praise our defence last night in general, but especially the defensive pairing of Lyon and Matai, they just know where to be,and when a play goes out wide from the opposition you can see both of them pointing, reading play and generally taking the best option,i have alot of confidence in Lyon and Matais defensive plays in the centres,Very solid, would u guys agree?

Yep - our backline defence looked more like it was back in 2007 and 2008. It is a good sign. Add that Foran and Hodko are strong defenders and we are looking better and better.

Just watched the full replay. Outstanding defensive effort. The right side defensive line was on up and in duty to deal with the (as it turned out nonexistent) Inglis threat and did it very well. They effort to hang on through the second half was fantastic: possibly one that might be a watershed game for the season.

The backs are generally alot tighter now and both halves seal up the edges of the ruck on either side.

The sideline mikes picked up alot of the impacts from tackles. That was a crunching game for the 80 mins from both sides. TRex on finch was great but hodgkinson on ryan hoffman was the business. I'd be watching out for some flatness in the opening part of next week's game as somebody already mentioned.
