I can’t remember a player like Kurt who has so quickly gained a following for a new toiler forward.

His work rate, low error count and genuine enthusiasm is refreshing in the era of “look at me” players who act like Segryaro on the socials.

I am looking forward to him putting in against the Gummies.

All our premiership and great teams have a no frills Deluxe in them like Boxhead, Rodney, Williamson, jughead.

How far will Deluxe go? I hope a long way.

One thing about Barney, he's like an energizer bunny, wind him up and he'll go all night, tackling that is.

Wish him luck tonight, we will need a great game form him, but realistically he is a slightly less starchy spud than keppie. And even though he is a known quantity I was hoping one of our young bucks might’ve got a go

Hint: not far

There’s a reason he was on train and trial...reserve grader.
agreed he is a toiler and a worker but he doesn't offer us anything - certainly no errors - I agree with that but he wont punch a hole in a line but he will do a load of tackles - just not first grade material

An opportunity for him tonight beyond his debut so let’s see how he goes. At least he now has his own thread in case he exceeds expectations or disappoints.

What’s between rocks and diamonds?

His win/loss ratio last year for us was pretty good ….
Played 6 Won 5 Lost 1 Drawn 0 Win % 83.33 Kurt De Luis - Career Stats & Summary - Rugby League Project
Do we have another player in the squad (who has played 5 games or more) with a better win/loss ratio for us?
we looked our best last season when de luis, keppie and lawnton became regulars for a while. really held us together and as the season started to fade and our more fancied players returned from injury we looked the poorer team (not on paper) as we kind of limped into and got smashed out of the finals

Des doesn't seem to care about his big winning percentage
Yep statistics can mean **** all. In this case it just shows that De Luis has done the job for the team that Des has asked him to do. I am pretty sure that Des knows that, regardless of "his big winning percentage".
