Souths lost the ball twice in the same set and forward in that 2nd half....even their players stopped....DCE was roaring and this all led up to that call on Jake.
Manly were in full control and I seen Garrick tackled on his 20m line and Gagai after hanging all over him- decides to play leapfrog, which is an auto penalty....you Must go around the tackled player.
When we were copping hands in the face , flops and delayed tackles....it became obvious....when Jake got sent, DCE protested more than I have ever seen him....poor Jake was just in shock...

I reckon DCE was about to rip him with a few more choice comments, but knew the dog was waiting so he could send him off too....which he would have with half a chance....hate the refs robbed us call, but Ive spoken to a few Souths mates who claim it was corrupt....are we surprised- well yes by just on how many levels they f**ked us over...

I reckon DCE was about to rip him with a few more choice comments, but knew the dog was waiting so he could send him off too....which he would have with half a chance....hate the refs robbed us call, but Ive spoken to a few Souths mates who claim it was corrupt....are we surprised- well yes by just on how many levels they f**ked us over...

A penalty would of sufficed or nothing at all but to send him off in a finals for barely touching him is just farcical

He might have been in shock that it was called a penalty given that 99.9% of the time this year those scrum and drop out clocks have basically been ignored by the refs.

- mid air tackles
- a second effort after the ref had called held
- at least one eye gouge
- plenty of offsides

And yet the penalty count was 9-3.

To say nothing of all the knock on calls that went against us...

Look, the fact is that the clock did beat DCE with that drop out so arguing that it shouldn't be a penalty is a bit pointless because it should have been. But the reality is that ever since the scrum and drop out clocks were introduced, how often do we hear the clock go off and then 2-5 seconds later the scrum is fed or the drop out is taken....and there is no penalty called for a clock violation?

Yet suddenly its a penalty with a minute to go in a Semi Final?

As said, technically it was a penalty. It was the right call. But again the consistency from the NRL referees is almost non-existent.

Walker offloaded the ball and DCE knocked it into the ground with his hand. Looked like it went towards Souths tryline. Correct call.

That one on Garrick tackle 1 was ridiculous. Think it was Cody Walker who failed to clear the ruck and just walked and hopped all over him. It was in the last 15 mins I think.

Once I saw that I knew we were toast.

We were rolling through them and they were barely hanging in there yet they were so disciplined that they didn’t concede a penalty??

Not sure grabbing jersey from behind and tripping someone over is barely touching. It was a dumb play by Jake that everyone is glossing over.

He barely touched him end of so what he put his hands on him hes in front of him and hes trying to get past him then there legs connected by accident.. thats not a sin bin.... in a final no fing way! Cost us the game and our season and was a rubbish call

It shouldn't of even been a penalty. Souths bombed a try, we get penalised and sin binned for a non offence. All the commentators were disgusted by the decision.
