Daly Cherry-Evans inspires Manly Sea Eagles to comeback win against Brisbane Broncos

DALY Cherry-Evans may wear No.7 on his back but the blond dynamo turned into a storming backrower last night to bully the Manly Sea Eagles to an upset victory over the Brisbane Broncos.

Cherry-Evans scored a crucial second half try, bullocking his way to the line through three defenders.

It was an effort more suited to Anthony Watmough than an 84kg playmaker.

The 24-year-old backed that up with a brilliant tackle that rattled the ball loose from Broncos centre Jack Reed, who was fighting to get off his goal line.

The ball spilled loose and prop Brent Kite earned a try-assist with a pass to David Williams who scored in the corner.

Those plays were the catalyst for a surge that won the Sea Eagles the game, as they scored three tries in eight minutes.
