Lure her with your tackle ....
For those wondering, here are how Manly players scored:
Cherry-Evans: 13
J.Trbojevic: 13
T. Trbojevic: 11
Tapau: 11
Fonua-Blake: 4
The raiders were the only team who didnt have a player beat Jake/DCE score of 13, thier highest was papalli with 12 points.
Talk about bait...then switch!
Anyway, looking through the judges for each round of the DM's, I saw at least 4 times when Manly had a long serving player from the opposite team as the judge. EG: steve roach for manly v tigers.
Ok, difference made.... I dunno. Happen to other teams... I dunno
But it gives us something to talk about besides someone's rods and fly lines (and worms).
That 'comedy' routine from Thaiday was close to the worst thing I've ever seen on TV
But Leilua!, I'm with @manlywarringah , his ill-discipline was the difference in a cpl Raiders defeats imo.Judges had to give their 3.2.1. On best players then one point for each of the best position. Teams like Nulla and St George would have had positions share points (best second row at St George for example) so players like Leilua who would have had little competition to get points.
The player of the year automatically wins his position of the year - so RTS was the Dally M medalist and FBI agree, definitely in the top three of worst ever - No, I can't list the other two!
I get what he was trying to do but geez, it was awful, some of it could have been funny if he could've delivered it.
The rest of it from what I saw was rather cringeworthy too.
Jess even seemed off the mark, maybe she's got her eye on Bathurst already.
Mal was uninspiring as usual, Greenturd was, well Greenturd so no surprise there.
Whoever decided to save the team of the year until the end needs a new job. It made the actual presenting of the Dally M medal anti-climactic as the presenter
walked out with both the fullback award and the medal. WTF?
They can count their lucky stars that Isaac Luke saved the night, that was awesome.
Special mention to Mitch Pearce, missed eight weeks yet still polled 23 points - great effort.

Teams like Manly always have multiple good players who then take points off each other .
Brooks was all on his own and thus got the award
Then the voting system is somewhat flawed isn’t it????
Like when Tom set a record 194 points for that supercoach thing, yet Girdler didn't even give him one vote...
We have multiple good players do we? Now, that's a funny one ..........The player of the year automatically wins his position of the year - so RTS was the Dally M medalist and FB

Didn't help in the SOO Slater fiasco. There needs to be more than one judge, and they then take the points as an average to work out 3,2,1.

Pearce was out for a few months so it helped Ponga accumulate his points.I know that but they used to do the positional awards scattered throughout the night so if say RTS was fullback of the year we wouldn't automatically assume he's won the big prize, especially with Ponga and Holmes in the mix.
To me it was anti-climactic to the main award doing it like they did.
Also in previous years, it wasn't necessarily the player with the most points that won their corresponding positional award which seemed weird so they changed it to this system.
No system is perfect but with Latrell Mitchell playing in a team with Tedesco, Fergo, Keary, Friend etc getting points doesn't mean he shouldn't be regarded as the best centre because he didn't get as many points as Leilua did playing in an erratic team.
Interesting that the teams in the top 4 didn't really threaten the points as they share it around more and rarely does a player in a beaten side get more than 1pt no matter how well they played or
how close the game was.
Look at the Knights - Ponga 27, Pearce 23 and their next best was Saifiti on 4 pts - when the Knights won these two obviously got the points regardless.
