Even more credit to Scott Fulton and co for establishing then [ well to date ] such a productive junior pathways system with less to spend on high profile imports in recent seasons . Talent scout [ as was i assume Crusher 's role over the years and when he was not at the Dogs and Eels ? ] i guess to try and recruit both established and emerging talent . but to be expected , much more limited in recent years . Anyway of course bringing Killer to the club , one of the all time best recruiting outcomes for Manly and i am sure others who have contributed very well also during his tenure . Manly legend in what ever way and that is all that matters really , and specifically on the playing field , firstly at centre which is often overlooked and then as a 2 nd rower and a dynamic one at that

back in the day, you mainly listened to manly games on the radio, and commentators calling Cleals name during games always had the anticipation that something exciting was happeningl. A great damaging player and one i will always remember!

Do you think the number of players he signed is in some way related to how much money the club have given him to spend ?
Still on payroll though , finding those diamonds in the rough in the country (which presumably was his forte )wouldn’t be that expensive.
