From what I can gather Russell Crowe is offering a paltry $3million for 75% of Souths now. What happened as a few months ago I seem to recall that Holmes a Court was talking 8 million?

$3million for such a large slice of the club is hardly a life saving offer. Maybe Piggins isn't as silly as everyone tries to make out?

I agree. In this case the members should at least be informed of all options.

I guess if we had someone opposed to Arko and co when they tabled the merger plans with norths. Manly may be in a better position today.

I think the original $8 million offerred included 'redeveloping' the Souths Legaues Club ie turing it into a block of units.

The members ahould at least have the opportunity to vote on the proposal

A Kiwi imy workplace just sent around the following e-mail. (note the spelling in the last sentence:)

Today is New Zealand (Waitangi Day) Day in Aotearoa, the Land of the Long White Cloud. There are 400,000 of us in Australia and we are grateful to all Australians for letting us share your great country.

As a token of our appreciation we will give you Russell Crowe.
