It seems he can't achieve anything unless he is cheating. I suggest the NSWRL investigate the Country team in 2006. It is the only bright spot in an otherwise abysmal record. There is no possible way he could have won anything fair and square.

No wonder he was so upset after the game. Its much harder to win when you are not cheating (as much) isn't it Craig?

How can a guy with that kind of record be classed as coach of the year, or one of the top 3 coaches? The fact that he is even put in the same bracket as Des and Bennett is an insult to what these other 2 have achieved.

In saying this, not looking at the records above, he has bred a lot of stars out of the Melbourne club down there. As a juniors coach he'd be the best in the competition. However, as an NRL coach he needs to win a title before he can be compared to the rest.

I watched the footage of bellamy when Champion scored last night. That bloke is an absolute psycho. The utter win at all costs, legal or not, attitude manifest in the most bizarre footage of a coach I have ever seen. Add the post match sook in the dressing room and that displays everything that led them to cheat and that is wrong South of the Border..

He is a good coach...one of the better ones however....

What sticks in my eye is the fact that the club is propped up by news limited (7 mil a year??) as a result they are able to have one of the biggest back office teams...that can pick up players like smith etc....

Give Des the same resources and see the result
