Aaron Schoupp named at #11 in NSW Cup. I wonder if that's a plan moving forward to possibly turn him into a backrower for that left edge spot and/or getting in some reps incase Haumole makes SOS.

Purdue played all his junior footy as a half, and has been killing it in the centres, a position he had never previously played. He is very quick off the mark and will likely cause plenty of problems in the middle of the field. Dearden never gives up. And on top of that, Drinkwater plays pretty much as an extra half.I look at their team & see Dearden + Perdue as there half’s which makes me feel confident honestly. Both good players but neither are really game managers, kicking game could be trouble for them too
More excuses for Siebold and his sh1t selections. Honestly, if this is the team we runout with...Two steps forward, one step back.
I don't think that Jake plays all that different at prop, than he does at lock. If your lock isn't even going to run the ball, which Tevaga didn't do a lot of on Sunday, you may as well put Jake there, and have two better props. I think Croker will be in NSW cup this week, so Tevaga is genuinely the short term solution this time.
Bullemor and Navale are great changes. Lodge should ideally come in for Waddell.
Could it be that Walsh debuts next week ahead of Arthur? If we want to go all in on freeing up cap space for 2026, we could send Brooks into the abyss, and play Fogarty/Walsh next year. Obviously getting ahead of myself here, but he's doing something right to play two Flegg games, a NSW Cup game, and then appear on a first grade team list.
You'd have chosen...?More excuses for Siebold and his sh1t selections. Honestly, if this is the team we runout with...
Then why not pick him now,on the bench or reserves at least? Not as if the team is going to lose a plethora of players to Origin.Probably over thinking thingsAaron Schoupp named at #11 in NSW Cup. You mean drop $CEhahaha Seidud does it again
Manly - complete joke show
truly pathetic team lost
Drop DCE
Against that, I look at our halves and definitely see NO game managers there either!I look at their team & see Dearden + Perdue as there half’s which makes me feel confident honestly. Both good players but neither are really game managers, kicking game could be trouble for them too
A tough job but someone has to do it.It appears Simpkin has yet again been used as a scapegoat.
Simpkin at 9. Jake at prop. Tevaga at lock. For a start. The fact he is moving back to the same old, slow moving forward game plan is telling. He got the minutes and bench all wrong last week, and instead of fixing his own stuff up, he has reverted back to what wasn't working for the past month. You'd have chosen...?
But that's exactly what he did last week!Simpkin at 9. Jake at prop. Tevaga at lock.
The season is ****ed already, and has been since the Dollar Chaser decided to screw the pooch.god we have some terrible players who are not scared of losing their spot
Our whole squad is pants. The little air in the balloon for season 2025 we had got stabbed out by our captain.
What a mess.
We need to
DCE should be dropped to reserve grade immediately. Send a message that the club has standards. His form has been horrible and the way he has gone about ending his association with the club would never be tolerated by a Bellamy or Bennett. Put it this way, if Spoon persists with DCE and our season still turns to mud, he will look more weak and clueless than he did at Brisbane.god we have some terrible players who are not scared of losing their spot

My perineum is not collective thank you very much.I fear the Cowboys will be looking to pay us back for that Round 1 humiliation at Brookvale, and that no amount of @Wombat64's premium lube will save our collective perineum by the full-time siren.
Correct and the week before without Jake. The positional changes didn't stop us from winning last week, though they were less effective than they might have been if our genius coach had made better use of the interchange bench. Particularly the minutes played (or not played) by certain individuals. But that's exactly what he did last week!
(we lost) 🙁
I know where Perdue played & that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a 19 year old playing his 1st game of NRL in the half’s defending against a lot bigger bodies than centres. Game plan needs to be get him 1 on 1 with any forward as much as possible & he’ll be steam rolled like round 1 against Olakau'atuPurdue played all his junior footy as a half, and has been killing it in the centres, a position he had never previously played. He is very quick off the mark and will likely cause plenty of problems in the middle of the field. Dearden never gives up. And on top of that, Drinkwater plays pretty much as an extra half.
Up against them we have an old bloke with one eye on Origin and the other eye on his new red, white and blue team, and a slightly less old bloke who has always struggled to take control of a game.
But the halves will be the least of our problems. The game will be won in the forwards, and ours are just not very good.
We certainly have the team to do MUCH better. The season is ****ed already, and has been since the Dollar Chaser decided to screw the pooch.
No one gives a **** now , get used to loss after loss with the very occasional win ( when the other team basically stuffs up and the refs start feeling sorry for us).
I’m expecting to run bottom 4 now, we just don’t have the team to do much better
Yes, if DCE has caused a rift in the side, a strong coach would take the appropriate step and drop him, or at the very least, strip him of the captaincy. Or maybe keeping him there provides another perfect excuse if that’s what you are looking for.We certainly have the team to do MUCH better.
We don't have the coach to get the best out of the team.
We aren't a Premiership threat but we are much better than what we've seen lately.
