A fellow Manly fan just suggested to me a possible reason why DESpicable is not using the 11 untried players in our roster -- money. He theorises that Penn/club is struggling financially in these tough times and Despicable is under instructions not to pick players who would get bonus payments for playing First Grade. Stick to those players on fixed contracts without incentives....
I don't know if it is true, but there certainly is something fishy about DESpicable's selections.

Plausible, something is not right that is for sure.
Des is no dumb ass coach, so why is he looking like one.
Some of these players should be nowhere near 1st grade at the moment.

Well he has had offers to buy the club, but refuses to sell. If the club goes down the drain because of his stubbiness, then he better stay overseas and never come back to our shores. Forget your ego Scott. You either want the club or you dont. If you dont, then sell it to someone that does. Attention Sam Rahme, are you still around

Doubt it very much mate......despite what people think the club is not in such a dire financial state. All players are on an agreed salary. Des just doesn’t wanna select them!

Not as silly as it sounds. It’s a well run employer tactic to demean, criticise and demote people they want to get rid of voluntarily.
Maybe all this comes back to money, and the lack of it at Manly

Have heard of similar to what you have stated @who, not sure if it’s cash flow being the issue for the administration or lack of foresight.

With Sean now so distant from the club it’s hard d to gauge.
