In the disappointment of the loss to Melbourne let it not be forgot how far Brett Stewart has come in the past three years, from a raw young speedster to the pre-eminent fullback in the game. He has improved so much and still only really a pup.
The GF showed how important he is to Manly and to play Origin and get picked in the Aussie team at this point in his career is awesome.
I can't omit Brent Kite either who is so important to Manly. He had a stellar season and certainly was nowhere near 100% in the GF, which told in the end!!
Well done to both of these great players for the Mighty Sea Eagles.
