Fox sports saying Storm have signed him for this year and only a clause in their favour for next year.
I'd say we paid him out this year to get him gone so he doesn't impact next years cap.

It's taken that he's better than us. He'd want to be, he get's paid more than the vast majority of us ever will, because he claims to be worth it. We don't claim to be worth it.

When compared to other players of his level, he's not been up to standard.

I could not cut it as a mediocre prop. I am however really fantastic at shining boots. I can see my face in my RMs.

Manly wanted him gone as early as last year. He turned up on good money and played ordinary last year. This year he really tried hard to lift but it became apparent that his body was no longer up to it.

Manly have been working really hard behind the scenes to find a club that would take him off our hands and Melbourne came to the party. It is true that he has imparted some good knowledge onto our younger brigade and the club are grateful for that, but are not willing to pay a 31 year old guy with a busted body, 500K a year to play half an hour off the bench once every few weeks; it's hard to argue against that.

I'm happy he's gone if, and only if, his departure leads to us getting something better out of it. He was a perfectly capable bench prop. But probably not worth what we were paying him.

$500k a year is big chunk of change and by his own admission he's had a terrible season last year. Whilst others also didn't fair too well either last year, they have all risen and playing beyond our expectations. He's had more than enough time to make an impact and has fallen way short each time. Granted he has improved but his form is not good enough at this level. I respect what he has achieved in his career but there will be no highlights reel ever displayed during his time at manly.
