‘Those two need to have an arm wrestle’: Hasler challenges Ennis and Hindy to settle the score in hilarious interview

“I wanted to start by asking a couple of important questions, is that okay Vonny?” Hasler said.

“Tell me, how’s the tension in that room?”
Hasler was of course referring to Round 6, 2011 when Ennis’ sledging got too much for Hindy who threw some punches and was sin-binned.

“I don't like the body language that’s coming out of both men.
“I’ve got a plan that you can maybe finally settle it, those two need to have an arm wrestle. They need to get rid of the testosterone, look at the biceps on both of them. I think an arm wrestle has to happen.”

Hasler’s cheeky comments didn’t stop there. He even asked what Ennis and Hindy were writing on the notepads in front of them.

“What are they writing on their notepads? Is it pictures of each other? Is it Michael’s a knob? Or is it just noughts and crosses?”

Manly guns Jake and Tom Trbojevic are desperate to get back on the field, confirming they will "do anything" to ensure the NRL can resume as soon as possible even if that means a massive salary sacrifice.

Speaking to their NSW Origin coach Brad Fittler for Wide World of Sports' Freddy's Facetime, the star brothers gave some insight into the changed world of an NRL player stuck at home and revealed what they were doing in their down time to keep insanity at bay.

They also took a cheeky shot at Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler, with Tom saying "you could not pay me to isolate" with the coach known as the 'nutty professor'; Jake adding Hasler's wife Christine "wanted the footy back more than anyone".

The death of a Sydney NRL club is inevitable
There’s been uproar this week about a Sydney team being cut from the NRL, because apparently people are upset by reality.

The future of rugby league in Australia came up after Nine’s director of sport Tom Malone floated the idea of a “club being discontinued and a new club established in Brisbane”.
“What clubs should go? ................

THERE IS ALWAYS TALK ABOUT REDUCING THE NUMBER OF SYDNEY TEAMS
THOSE IN POWER THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT DO SO

BUT THE FACT IS ...

THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE
IS MUCH STRONGER
THAN THE PEOPLE IN POWER

WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER AND OUR DESTINY IS IN OUR HANDS

Found a full replay of our 2011 prelim final online if anyone wants to watch!
1st half - Full Match Replay: Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos (1st Half) - Preliminary Final, 2011

2nd half - Full Match Replay: Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles v Brisbane Broncos (2nd Half) - Preliminary Final, 2011

Been able to find quite a few games through google. All I’ve been doing is searching “Manly v (team name) (Year) (final game/round) full replay” so for the one above I did “Manly v Broncos 2011 preliminary final full replay.” Often only one half comes up so I just go into the link and copy and paste it exactly and write “2nd half” instead which seems to work.

Just another way to get through until we go back!

Hey @The Wheel and @Mitch how about this ..?
Are players still on the payroll but just in isolation? As opposed to being on 'holiday leave' or something. Just thinking if they are still available, then how about some zoom parties or meetings for some members to attend and get a chance to interact with players?
Many of us have paid good money to be part of the show! And I know for me personally that those cocktail parties or fan events where members can meet the players often provide the best memories. (hey @The better Robbo I even met your brother at one, he seemed like a great down to earth guy, so what happened to you lol)

Hey SER8 will pass it on, most of the staff on now on leave or reduced hrs etc so there ability to organize is limited

Thanks for these photos - they brought back some great memories! Also spotted certain fans I know in the crowd.

Can't for the life of me remember the significance of the players wearing red and white socks though, as well as the guys in the guard-of-honour wearing the red V?
